Even in winter, when the sky clears and the rain stops, the views from the spit are spectacular. Claustrophobics, here's your spot to rest and feel free! There are several RV parks where the adventurous can brave the elements, shops and eating spots aplenty, and...More

A must see place if you are in Homer! Stop and see the lagoon and ice cream shop! All of the charter fishing shops are a good place to see how the fishing is.

The quaint little shops carried unique interesting items. Loved the shop that had a bubble stand set up outside (Sorry, I don't remember the name)

The spit is the biggest tourist attraction in Homer. So, during the summer, even though there will be crowds, it doesn't feel crowded. There are lots of shops to browse, restaurants with fresh seafood, and even a theater with live entertainment. You can charter fishing...More

Tourist trap with rv's parked everywhere. Can't even begin to imagine the appeal -- views are just as good elsewhere. I would rather read a good book than spend time here.

So this is the place to be in this town. We planned both our culinary adventures as well as our outdoor escapades all from the spit whether it was talking with locals to find out what to do or wandering in each place. So much...More

If you are an RVer this may be a great place as the views toward the water are spectacular. But driving down the Spit was headache inducing. Bumper-to-bumper traffic, cars and pedestrians pulling out in front of you, and overzealous parking nannies drove me away....More

The boardwalk is a fun spot to walk around, look at the sites, shop, eat, drink, and all around enjoy the scenery that Homer has to offer. Great place to visit if you're from out of town.

We were there 6/14/17 for 3 days and never saw the trolley. Seemed to me like that was still early season and the trolley and crowds might really pick up in July and August. The one thing I did notice is the busiest section... More
