Just walk 5 min uphill from the Juneau International Hostel & you'll find the start of the trail. The hike itself (10 or 11km?) is very scenic and the view at the top across the Channel is very worthwhile. Don't forget your water bottle.

We took the tram up the mountain to the museum and watched the video provided. It was very interesting and informative. Beutiful view of the town below. And nice gift shop.

Plan to spend a few hours up at the top of the mountain. Some lovely hikes, albeit a little muddy. Stunning views. Local artists. Very enjoyable.
