Rode it up just to get some great shots of the cruise ships. Did not spend a lot of time up top. Took about 7 minutes to get up, took about 10 minutes up top and then came back down. Restaurant was already closed at...More

If you have some time while visiting Juneau then take the tramway to the top for some incredible views. Also good food and drinks at the top.

Great ride up. Watch for eagle nests in the trees. Nice hike on Mt. Roberts. Some tramway conductors are fun and very informative, others not so much - luck of the draw...

Short ride up to the top of the mountain with a beautiful glimpse of breath-taking scenery. The trails could use some gravel or other material for traction as we were limited in our walk due to the slippery ground. This was not over priced for...More

If you are planning on visiting Juneau, I recommend taking the tram to the top. This is a great way to see spectacular views of the city. My family and I enjoyed taking in the views of the mountains and the city. If I'm back...More

This was a fun way to get spectacular views. The tram was really easy to get on and off of. It took less than two minutes to come down. I didn't think about timing it going up. The views were amazing. There were trails for...More

While it was a little 'foggy' the day we visited Juneau, the tram ride to the top of Mount Roberts was a good experience. You can stay at the top (in the shop) as long as you wish (shopping). There is also a clean restroom...More

We purchased a combo excursion from Holland America which included Mendenhall Glacier and this tram ride. The combo ticket was well worth the price. The views even on a cloudy day from up top of the Gastineau Channel are terrific. There are other things to...More

Booked off a cruise ship. Beautiful weather so had a great view from the top. Hiked the trail up and it is very rough but an interesting hike. Would recommend the tram.

We traveled with a friend using a walker. The tram was very easy to negotiate for him. The staff was friendly and helpful, too. They made a point to be sure he could see the view well from his location in the car. It helped...More

No reservation. Just walk up and buy a ticket. You can see the tram entrance as your ship pulls in. I walked off my boat and was at the ticket office in 5 minutes. Based upon your time window, you could hike back into town... More

The tram operates from morning to evening. Ride up is just a few minutes--down the same. Not sure of exact operating hours--I was told I could come and go and take multiple rides up on one ticket.
