This was a cruise ship visit tour - about 5 hours, with a photography theme, and 2 hours+ on the water. For photographers the conditions were not optimal, and the whales were languid, but they, and other wildlife were seen at close quarters in a...More

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Gastineau Guiding. Our guide was Matt and he was inspiring, helpful with the photography and funny. I can't remember our boat captain's name but he was also very accommodating. The tips Matt gave us for photographing the whales was...More

First, I'm not a writer of reviews unless I feel that it was one of the most outstanding experiences ever. I have traveled all over the world. The "something" special about Alaska is the people. So I would like to share with you that this...More

We booked this excursion as part of our Princess Cruises Alaska Inside Passage (With Glacier Bay National Park). Captain Lee was at the helm of the boat and Laura Chase was the tour leader. First off, this was probably the best-fitted whale watch boat we've...More

In 2009, I enjoyed your Photo Safari very much. Next year, I would like to do it again and was wondering if I could skip the hike portion at Mendenhall and spend more time in the Visitor Center?

My husband and I will be traveling with my elderly parents. They are only able to walk short distances so we have rented companion chairs to make the cruise easier for them. Are the trails wheelchair accessible/capable for pushing wheelchairs? Also, if we go whale watching, is there somewhere to stow the folded chairs?

I know our cruise line delineated which excursions were and were not wheelchair accessible. Otherwise, I would check with the company directly about accessibility.
