Met at the airport at noon and took off, in the seaplane, for Pack Creek. Our guide was Brock and he did an excellent job explaining the terrain and as well as the behavior of the bears. We were also met with an Alaska Game and Fish agent and State Park Ranger. There is not much hiking, maybe a couple... More

It was a spur of the moment decision ...but was it worth it! We arrived at 12 at Juneau airport to board an Alaskan Seaplane and Jess our guide ( who was very helpful and knowledgeable about everything on the island) went through the day and gave us waterproof boots, binoculars , a raincoat just in case and had our... Excellent trip and a superb guide. Fun to see the Bears in their native habitat feeding on salmon and frolicking in the water. Fascinating. Would highly recommend

We had the most amazing time bear watching with Bjorn. I was extremely anxious and nervous about bear watching in their natural setting because of all the bear attack stories I read. However, Bjorn was very understanding and assured me that the bears are human habituated and are used to seeing humans. They would just be busy feeding on salmon.... More

We were picked up at the hotel by the tour company and driven to the Juneau airport. We promptly took a float plane for a 25 minute ride to admiralty island. The plane and flight by itself was very cool and exciting. We land a big black grizzly is walking on the shoreline. The trip just gets gooder and gooderer.... More

Our guide Bjorn made us feel very safe the entire trip; from entering a tiny float plane to explaining bear behavior while standing just across the river from large brown bears feeding in the estuary. He is very knowledgable about all things related to bears and the great outdoors of Alaska. We hiked up the inland path and watched the... More

Wow...Ken went out of his way to get us permits for a day where he had none available. Bjorn was our guide....but he was so much more! We saw SO MANY bears. Almost 2 dozen! Bjorn was so full of information...about the bears, hiking, the area and Alaska itself. I wish I could give this 10 stars. One of the... More

We contacted Ken Leghorn about a year before our cruise. We booked the tour 10 months out of scheduled date in Juneau. The whole experience was fantastic!! Nice people, experienced, professional!! There were only 5 people with our tour, and a Naturalist. Once we were at the bear viewing area- we saw a lot of bears, and eagles, we were... More

To begin with, I found Pack Creek Bear Tours online. I contacted them to find out more info. I spoke with Ken Leghorn and he was very informative, pleasant and accommodating. I went to Juneau specifically for this tour. I was not disappointed. It was FANTASTIC! I was worried about the seaplane ride, but really enjoyed it; it was as... More
