Of course we were on a cruise when we travelled to the fjord. It was a beautiful day and good weather certainly enhances the surroundings. This is as good as it gets for viewing parts of a glacier short of having to travel by helicopter...More

We went on a large cruise ship "Explorer of the Seas" and there was a mini-heat wave with quite warm weather in mid-September which resulted in a lot of ice carving. Unfortunately our captain felt it was not safe to take the ship into all...More

Approaching the Yracy Arm glacier up the icy waters of the fjord was exciting. Seeing the waterfalls from the mountains that surround the fjord is very picturesque. Take a tour and you will fill your camers with thrilling views.

Most cruises go to one of three areas. Hubbard Glacier, Glacier Bay National Park or Tracy Arm Fjord. Having been lucky enough to do all three, I can honestly say Tracy Arm Fjord, up to South Sawyer Glacier, is my personal favorite. The Fjord is...More

Cruising down the fjord was beautiful. However I was disappointed in the glacier. Just looked like dirty snow from the cruise ship.

We transferred form HAL cruise ship to a catamaran. An amazing trip through floating ice to view the glaciers North and South Sawyer. Even though the return journey was rainy it was well worth the visit. Coffee and snacks were served on board.
