I really enjoyed Creek Street. The brightly colored buildings are so fun and we really enjoyed browsing through the all the shops. We also got some good deals on packaged salmon to take home with us.

Took a cruise with my mom and actively sought out Creek Street (I thought she would like it). Creek Street is officially where the original miners went...and don't forget the brothel as well. It's touristy but the shops are unique and the locals pleasant and eager to tell you about life in Ketchikan - 100 mile per hour winds and... More

As with many other reviewers, Ketch was a cruise ship stop for us in September. The town isn't very large so walking to Creek Street and shopping is pretty easy. Note that they get lots of rain so don't let sunny skies fool you - 10 minutes later it can be raining so have an umbrella handy. The creek was... More

A quaint walk through the buildings along the creek. Unfortunately the buildings are just full of the usual tourist stuff. Still it's not far from the cruise ships so worth a visit. I was there in June so too early for the salmon run.

This was a charming port with nice people, totem poles and a salmon ladder. As this was toward the seasonal end of Alaska cruises, souvenir prices were low.

Creek street is originally constructed wood buildings totally over a fresh water creek. The buildings now house shops and business. The area is pictureous and well maintained. No charge to vivisection the area.

You can read up on the history of the town whilst here and there were some seals in the water whilst we were there. If you follow the water inland you will come to a place where salmon try to jump up through a narrow spout of water and beyond that there were hundreds of salmon spawing..........there were also lots... Winding our way through the shops on Creek Street was an interesting experience, although by the time our ship had arrived in Ketchikan, we were pretty over most of the tourist stuff. There were some different and unique things, some that felt a little more authentic, and a little more upscale on Creek Street. Wish there were more restaurants. Fascinating... More

This is a short walk from the dock. Along the way there are plenty of tourist shops. On the dock is a visitor's info center. From there it's a 10 minute walk to Creek St. Creek St has a nice variety of shops, the creek, Dolly's (a brothel museum). In the creek you may see salmon making their way up... More

Great views and history was very interesting - can get crowded, but well worth it. Go during salmon spawn and watch the otters hand pick their dinner!
