We stopped off here after being tipped off about this on cruise critic. What an unexpected treat! We were the only 2 there and we explored for about 15 minutes. We really could have spent more time here. It was so pretty and peaceful. This...More

The falls are a very short walk up a flight hill. There is quite a bit of foliage which obscures some of the falls. Worth a stop if you are in the area.

On a clear day this trail offers spectacular views of the Knik Glacier and surrounding Chugach mountains. Definitely worth the effort, but it is a steep climb and it takes 4 to 6 hours for most people to get above tree line. The trail is...More

Just off the road and an easy hike to the falls. We lived here for years before I discovered this jem. Perfect photo op. There's a trail you can take to get closer to the falls as well as higher on the hill.

A nice waterfall, but more pleasant than awe-inspiring. Be sure to keep going down the road for beautiful glacier views!

Nice assortment of fungus, monkshood and ferns. Careful of the yellow jackets, as there were many along the trail.

Beautiful falls very close to the parking lot. You can see it well from the bottom or climb up a little for better views. Quick stop & doesn't seem to be very well known.

A very beautiful waterfall just about 1 mile from Old Glen Hwy on East Knik River Road. There is a small wood sign that arrows you to turn stating Pioneer Falls, but there is a mailbox by the dirt road and you think it is...More
