I was fortunate enough to be in Alaska in September. I contacted Mark and he was able to set me up with a trip for silvers on the Kenai and some hunting for big 'bows. Mark's insight into the biology of salmon and trout, conservation of these incredible resources, and how to fully enjoy the rivers of Alaska is first-rate.... More

Mark and his staff are the best on the Keanu.... period. I've been fishing with Mark since he was 16 and there is no one that is more passionate about fishing and more importantly putting his clients on fish that Mark and his staff at Fishology!!!! Mark was fantastic with my young boys, getting them hooked on fishing in Alaska... More

We had such a great time with Mark on our first trip, that we booked him for a second trip! Mark is an extremely knowledgeable and helpful guide! This year we fished in August and had an excellent trip! You won't find a better guide or a better person. Mark's first priority is that you have a great experience, however,... More

Our party of four caught reds, silvers and trout on a full day trip that could not have been better. We bank fished, trolled and drift fished. Everyone caught fish and our guide was happy to help teach the new people. All in all it was a great day.

Fished with Mark for the first time in August 2016. Have since fished with him twice more and booked a week long trip in August 2017. Great guide, service and accommodations. Would definitely recommend Alaska Fishology

We used Fishology in 2014 and again this year. Both trips were high quality. These guys know where the fish are and how to catch them. They have great boats and equipment. Can't wait to grill our salmon!

I have used Fishology for two separate trips now. They are very helpful while doing research and then when you get to town. We really enjoyed our river trip on the Kenai River this year, and when motor trouble cut our day short, Mark found us another guide to take us out in the afternoon. Definitely recommend Fishology to help... More

My experience with Fishology was virtually identical to the review titled, "Could have been better". I would like to make it clear that our dream team guide was not Matt. The problems with this outfit start at the top and trickle down through the system. My recommendation, avoid the first week of August and don't let Mark talk you into... More

I find it strikingly obvious that the slow sockeye run had many anglers and guides disappointed this season. Matt, and all the guides that guide for Fishology, receive rave reviews 95% of the time, and the few negative reviews this season are consistently based around the fact that the client wanted to catch sockeye, and didn't have the luck they... The wife & I don't fish much but we love eating salmon. One previous trip to AK we were shut out. Our guide Matt contacted us the day before the trip to discuss what we'd like to do, what fish we'd like to fish for, etc. The next morning he took our party of four RIGHT TO "THE SPOT" where... More

Did we catch fish? Sure. Did we have fun? Yeah. Was it nearly as good as it could have been? No. Here is what you have to know if you are new to fishing for Salmon...there are salmon and you will hook in to some. If they are really running you'll catch lots. If they aren't you won't catch as... More
