As a nature lover, I strongly recommend you to visit Tra Su Bird Sanctuary. The best time to visit is the morning.

We visited Tra Su in August, during the rainy season. There was a lot of birdlife, especially nesting egrets, herons and kingfisher. The first part of the trip, in a motorized sampan, was OK but not practical for bird watching, as the noise and speed...More

Very peaceful place nearby Chau Doc. Should come to enjoy & escape from the busy city. It's just about 29km, about 45 minutes to get there with a car. Then...what a view!

Great stop when coming from the Cambodian southern boarder crossing going to Chau Doc. Truly a mesmerising place, felt like something from a fairy tale!

This is well worth a visit. It's not on a lot of 'standard' itineraries but as we booked our trip ourselves we were able to add it in and have no regrets at all. It's a great break from the cities of Cambodia and Vietnam...More

The bird sanctuary is a wet land travelled by canoe. It is best in the early morning but I would suggest you use a guide service who will organise a canoe and paddler. It is not expensive
