I don't usually leave TripAdvisor reviews, but since almost being discouraged from doing this hike due to online reviews (and booking agencies) I thought I'd leave one. I've read reviews saying that Fansipan is wet, cold, very slippery, and dangerous in winter months. Aside from...More

Very nice place to try with spectacular view of Sapa. Staffs are friendly to assist at the station. Drinks and foods are available on the peak. Prepare for long stairs climbing and not advisable to bring pram/walking stick. We went up by E-tram at Sapa...More

After a long thinking about it we decided not to go. The mountain is more in the clouds than offering a clear view. I can imagine the views will be nice but there are nice views for free in the area.

We didn't know what to expect but several people told us we had to go up the cable car to the mountain. We were totally surprised at the over the top commercialism. We went on a rainy day (the only day we had available) so...More

We loved this outing. The cable car is amazing! The engineering and the views of Sapa incredible. Easy day. The weather wasn’t great but even in the most it was magic. The kids were in awe. We climbed to the top - slowly but surely...More

Fansipan mountain is wonderful but it's so cold at the summit in Winter, so remember taking with you warm clothes!

Excellent views, ensure you allocated a good chunk of the day to visit here. However, the views will be blemished if it is cloudy. We was very lucky with the weather!

I am not a hiker, but i have met groups of experience hikers, they all have guides with them. Muoang Hoa range is big, is safer to have a guide.

Try contacting a guide directly instead of going through a company as it's cheaper. We went earlier this month and our guide was Chu(Trekking Chu on Facebook). He's young, friendly and can speak relatively good English.
