We planned to trek to the top of Fansipan Mountain but the weather was not with us so we ended up taking the cable car (VND600.000). We reached the top after climbing 300 steps, the view is spectacular, thin air and strong wind. You should bring...More

We did this trek this morning starting at 5am. We didn't want to spend £55 each for a guide so we decided to do it ourselves. We are both outdoor instructors at home so we decided we were capable enough. We left our hotel in...More

It costs you around A$70 which includes Cable car ride for miles and a small train ride to the top of the summit. It's about 3200m above sea level. There are lots of nicely done proper rock based steps to climb to each spot. There...More

Hi all! I'm heading up in a couple of weeks (yes, despite the rainy season). Anyone done the 2D1N tour up to view the sunrise at Mt Fansipan? I'm just wondering if i should do that or just stick with 1D tour

I can't answer your question unfortunately, but my advice is to decide when you are there depending on weather. That could make or break your chance of doing the 2D1N tour.
