It's not a museum. It's a private property. But, worth to see the local environment that Can Yücel spent his last years.

The old town of Datca is beautiful all the way,Can Yucel's House is not open to visitors, you can only see the main door to the house and a little bit of the gardens from outside. But still an attraction to the poet's admirers.

It would make more sense if you know who Can Yücel is, his poems and what he means for Datça. It was an emotional experience for me and it is one of the most important things that makes Datca special.

In the center of Old Datça this house is offering you a nice atmosphere to feel and understand the great Can Yücel.

Visiting the house where he lived, looking over the views that inspired him writing his poems, it was such a valuable moment of my visit to old city of Datça. Get a book of Can Yucel and breathe the same atmosphere with him.

Only been there for drinks (hot and cold, on various occasions), but unsure what the hype is all about.... apart from the famous link of course. As a place to obtain sustenance, it didn't blow me away.

Not a museum so not to be visited. He is one of the best poets that Turks have ever seen but this house is just a private house. Not available for visits. I would not spend my time to see that door.

Here is the home of one of the most popular poets of Turkey. It is NOT a museum! Knowing that he lived here and remembering one of his poems is enough. Please do not disturb the residants and not try to enter.

Nobody available although the Russian wife of Can Yücel was around. Situated in Old Datca, with old stone houses and nice boutique shops and restaurants. The Can Yücel House was not open when I tried to visit this place.
