Very interesting ruins, and an important part of Kosrae heritage. I agree with other reviewers, definitely visit the ruins with a guide. They are not maintained, and the original signage, where it still exists, has deteriorated to the point where it is not readable (or...More

First, it's probably better to go with a guide. I'm not sure I could have found the ruins on my own. We had to circle around the fenced in area owned by the former Ace Hardware and cross a field full of weeds to get...More

Went here during a tour to visit some really neat ruins, which are up for review to become a UNESCO heritage site. Beautiful hike through the jungle, with the tour guide who owns the property!

The island is based around a number of villages, some of which can trace their roots back a few thousand years to some impressive ruins. Our guides explained what the different structures were believed to be - and the vibrant culture that was started there.

We had a tour with Adam, a local archaeologist. This is a fascinating place with burial chambers, ceremonial rooms, even a canal!

A very small island connected to the main island by a causeway. It is a nice place to stroll and mingle with the locals. The Lelu ruins are located here. It is a fantastic spot to visit and very easy get to.
