Love seeing the local artists crafts. The porcupine lady is awesome. She sells cool jewelry that she makes using porcupine needles. This place is definitely worth visiting!

I happened by here on a recent visit to Talkeetna. There were maybe 8 stalls, most of which sold artwork or jewelry. My sister bought some bamboo socks, which were a fun find and very soft. I bought a few note cards with prints of paintings by a local artist. The market was not busy at all when we visited,... More

Very small; I'm learning my lesson that there are much better writers of Alaskan experiences then there are realities. Hope the advitisor copywriters are getting well paid because the sure sucker you in. There were 3 booths open here, one I bought a pair of bamboo socks and the seller was reluctant to give me a receipt for the cash... More

What a fun find! I purchased hand tyedied bamboo socks and local made soaps. I love when I can meet and chat with the artist before I purchase their wares. If in talkeetna on a weekend (Sat, Sun, Mon), be sure to check this market out. Its just behind the post office.

Small artisan market of about 7 stalls selling Alaskan made products., including large photos and jewellery. Prices are quite high but understandable . The artists/sellers charming and chatty. Don't expect too many bargains!

Not many booths set up on the weekend we attended the market, but the booths that were set up consisted of high quality crafted items. Really good market, but thought there would be more than just a few booths.

We stumbled across this place, while looking for somewhere to park. What a good find. The artists there are truly talented. The one lady sells very interesting jewelry made from porcupine quills. Another has awesome glass necklaces, with small flecks of gold. Or cute bamboo socks. Or really nice lotions. Definitely check it out if you are there when it... More

It was nice to se the local artisan's work in one location. The artisans were very friendly and their work very impressive ranging from great artwork illustrating the Alaskan landscape in quite unique fashion as well as jewellery and crafts.
