Christoph was our guide for the day, taking us on a long and beautiful boat ride to a deserted lagoon area. The water was crystal clear, enabling us to see some beautiful fish and a black tip shark. Although the water was quite shallow here so there isn't much cora. While we snorkeled, Christoph prepared snacks and found coconuts for... More

The snorkeling area was good in the wonderful warm water, lots of different marine animals to observe while floating on the surface. The white sands wonderful to walk on, unfortunate the shallow depth of the "blue lagoon" is not good for the corals and most were bleached white. Probably could have spent more time at the snorkeling area instead of... More

Our boat was a typical tourist boat with bench seats under sun protection. We had with us a guide, driver and helper. There were about a dozen customers in the boat. Soon after we started our boat ride, we ran into rain squalls. We became chilled as the rain pinged off our faces at twenty miles per hour. The guide... More

Getting off the cruise ship, we were looking for a Snorkeling tour since the cruise ship did not provide any tours (no reliable operators according to our concierge). Very few operators were present. The one car driver was away to the airport. The kind lady operating the bike rental company kindly recommended that we try either side of the dock... More

We had no complaints about the guide, the boat, the long ride to the lagoon, the snacks and coconut water, the stools provided for seating on beach. Nor with the beach itself. Lovely white sand with lots of palms to provide shade. The water was very clear and one could see fish & black fin sharks just by standing at... More

we took this excursion from the Paul Gauguin cruise ship. It was a fairly lengthy and somewhat rough trip to this beach who'se name I cannot remember. The beach was deserted and beautiful. In the all a peaceful and pleasant morning. strangely, the trip back seem to take only half as long. Perhaps we have a tailwind.

Spent a lovely afternoon snorkeling with many sharks and seemingly millions of fish thanks to Christophe and his crew. Only regrer that it was too short and that I did not sign up soon enough to get to the Blue Lagoon. Truly one of the best snorkeling experiences in FP

Cruising on the Mariner through French Polynesia to Lima. The cruise normally offers excursions that are included in the cost of the cruise. Sadly, none were showing up for this location. We chose to book our own. We read the reviews of two local snorkelling groups, and wrote to both. Only this group replied. We booked the Blue Lagoon trip... More

This company was used by the Paul Gauguin and they were great. The blue lagoon trip was fabulous. Super clean boat, friendly staff, great snacks. I know they are the same price as others for half the time and no lunch but to not have to jump in and out of a boat was a huge plus. You get what... More

Fakarava appears so untouched and stunningly beautiful, and we were glad to have our cruise ship itinerary changed to stop at this location. We found out that Fakarava has been designated as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve for the preservation of rare species. We had the most wonderful day with Christophe and his staff at the Blue Lagoon. He picked up... More
