We visited with the whole family. This is a small but unique attraction for children and train aficionados. We plan to go back every year in this down-to-earth venue and see what the owners have built over the year.

We visited family in Wasilla and decided to stop by Alaska Live Steamers on a whim searching for something to do with our 4 y/o. We were BLOWN AWAY at how cool this train ride is. Run by a cadre of volunteers, there is over...More

This is a great outing. We arrived on a drizzly day (we could have been back in Scotland, it was that type of day) and the two volunteers running the steamers were still very enthusiastic. Their enthusiasm and passion for the model railway added to...More

My toddler loved it! Anyone, any age can ride for a small donation. It seems to be a great idea for the little ones and even small children. Highly recommended!

A great time riding on the mini train through the woods. The kids love riding and looking at all the fun, creative characters and buildings the volunteers have created.

We love to ride the trains at least a couple times a year. The enthusiastic volunteers there are continually making improvements and are great with the kids.

Run by volunteer train hobbyists, these miniature trains are great fun for younger kids. For Grandpa (me), it was fun to watch the faces of my grandkids, especially as they discovered the surprises along the ride.

A must do for families!! My kids age 9 & 6 absolutely love this place. Can't wait until they add more routes. All volunteers run the trains and ask for a $5 donation. It's well worth it.
