Great view of glaciers and PWS, especially the Surprise Glacier. We got to see it up close for at least half hour. The Salmon and rib buffet were tasty, too.

So incredible. This was perhaps the greatest day of our three weeks in Alaska. The weather was perfect and the pictures I brought back are perfect. The ranger was great, always available to answer questions.

Even though it was windy and rainy, it was still a great time. Beautiful views, great food, and friendly staff! We went on the Surprise Glacier tour. The only down part was we didnt see hardly any wildlife.

Really enjoyed this cruise to Surprise Glacier. Professional and welcoming crew. Other glaciers are seen as well, but the trip puts you very close to Surprise Glacier so you can really see (and hear) everything. Saw a bit of calving and that rich blue color....More

The captain and crew were great about pointing out wildlife and we pleased to see so much. A little late in the season to see whales but we saw sea lions, seals, porpoises and so many different species of birds. So wonderful to see so...More

Did 2 cruises with MMT, Kenai fjord cruise from Seward and PWS from Whittier. PWS is in a smaller vessel, with absolutely calm seas. It has 100 named glaciers and the story of Harriman the railroad tycoon and his expedition here in 1899 is pretty...More

You will see beautiful glaciers on both cruises. I did the Surprise glacier trip 15 years ago and loved it. The Blackstone cruise we did in June 2016, its a shorter trip and we loved it too. They parked the boat in front... More

The tunnel opens one way every hour and you would have to make it by 10:30 or 11:30am. Probably want to get closer than Seward as that would be several hour drive. Worth the effort!
