Great presentation on some of the history of the local native clans, which included dance and singing and a chance to see the clan robes.

What a cool little oasis in the middle of the harbour! Make sure to walk around the back and discover all there is there.

Shake's Island is a nice place to visit while in Wrangell. Culturally interesting with authentic totem poles (some lying on the ground) to view from closeup. We enjoyed the walk out there.

Nothing was open when I was there. The totems are laying down and under a covering which makes them hard to see and get pics of. Building was not unlocked ... so spent about 5 minutes here.

Went to this island today. You can see the tribal house but couldn't get in. The totems are being repaired so are not up. Despite all this still a good place to visit.

We walked out to the island when the tribal house was closed and there were no explanatory boards. Wandered around and looked at the old totems lying under cover but there was nothing to explain what e were looking at which was a shame.

This beautifully restored cedar house is a must see. The entry is a huge Alaska native bear with a huge mouth. We heard traditional singing and saw some dancing. The lead story teller is wonderful. The carved wood art is beautiful.

Performance cut short due to performers commitments, the costumes/song/dance was good. Sad to see totems in a state of disrepair out the back.
