I went to the bird trail (Blackhawk trail) with my daughter in the morning to look for birds. The dirt parking lot is easy to miss if you drive too fast. We slowly went on the trail thru various different tree environments. (Mulberry/Cottonwood/Mesquite) We saw...More

It is a wine tasting county but it was a nice brake to stop by this place and hike around ponds. I wish there was more info about it. I wasn't sure if I was welcome to park my car here and explore it.

We have been to salmon hatcheries in the Northwest. Was looking forward to seeing a trout one. Was ok. Really not much to see. There is a visitor's center which explains a bit about the area. Self-guided.

This is a short adventure, especially for the kids. You can feed the fish and freely walk around the site. The trail does run along side Oak Creek for a short distance.
