Alcantara Vineyards is a dream venture created by Barbara and husband Bob...

Alcantara Vineyards is a dream venture created by Barbara and husband Bob to provide their family and partners the opportunity to live the dream of growing a vineyard community and winery. It was in cultivating the vineyards and embracing the land that Barbara and her family soon realized there was a bigger picture in this hidden treasure along the confluence of two rivers. You’ll find Alcantara Vineyards has over 13,000 vines and offers 12 different varietals. While you sip wine and enjoy our peaceful surroundings, which include vineyards, a grass picnic area, the Verde River and bald eagles flying overhead, you’ll find you are part of our community and family.

The vineyard is at a very scenic location on a bend of the Verde River. However, the wine was disappointing. The reds were very acidic. However, we still enjoyed visiting and will try again in the fall.

My sister and I visited Sedona for a relaxing spa vacay and stopped in at Alcantara on our last afternoon in Sedona. Susie was our sommelier and made us feel welcome right away. The Rose and the Viognier were very tasty. We bought a glass of Rose and toured the property at our leisure, taking some stunning pics of the... More

For a birthday celebration, my wife and I booked a float trip on the Verde River followed by wine tasting at Alcantara Vineyards (check out Sedona Adventure Tours). The experience at Alcantara was a perfect conclusion to a relaxing couple of hours on the water. Although wine tasting by itself would have been delightful! With the assistance of our host,... More

We happened to see the small yellow roadside sign that there was a vineyard nearby, followed it & subsequent ones until, down a windy gritty track, came across the vineyard. What a treasure. We tasted the wines & enjoyed our tour of the vines & vat shed. Delightful staff, great setting, but you need to know it's there!

I enjoy visiting wineries and this one is one of the most pleasant I've been to. The ambiance and views and great - but even better, the wines are REALLY good. My friend and I did the more expensive tasting. The Merlot was my favorite. It's a little hard to find. The wineries around Sedona and Jerome really need more... More

Located down a winding and dusty road this is not the I stumbled across it type of place. We were staying at the nearby campground and decided to give it a shot for a wine tasting. The staff was friendly and informative about the area and the wine. The tasting was reasonable priced with local and California wines and included... More

Huge thank you to Kerry and her fabulous crew. This is our third year having Alcantara as our first stop on our charity crawl and it is a definite crowd pleaser. Super staff, great facility, awesome scenery, and fantastic wine too! Conveniently located - must see!

We were excited to finally experience Arizona's wine country. The first stop from 17N was Alcantara Winery. It was close to 10:45 am and a nice friendly woman welcomed us into the winery... We entered and asked for a tasting. Another woman, this time very unfriendly younger woman says "OH NO- you are too early" We can only pour at... More

Thank you for your review. We are a alcohol (wine) establishment that has a license to sell (taste) and we are open for business at 11:00am - 5:00pm. We legally can not taste our customers until after 11:00, so I'm glad our tasting room staff has this in mind. We actually should not open our doors before 11:00am, but we... More

A random stop led to this truly tasty wine and great views! We did two tastings of five different wines each ($15 per tasting and it includes a monogrammed wine stem) between four of us, so tried 10 different varieties for a total of $30. There was also a $10 tasting option. Every wine was excellent in our opinions!! Try... More

So, I picked this winery of all the ones that I reviewed ! They have a great inexpensive tasting price of 10$ for five wines and a FREE signature glass comes with it. It was a very rewarding experience and I will share this with all who will listen. Susie was very much down-to-earth, informative, and even recommended me to... More
