Its a great place to walk. There are trails for different levels. Lots of bike trails. Beautiful in spring. The cactus and wild flowers bloom. Watch out for warmer temperatures that's when the rattlesnakes show up.

A real gem of a nature preserve right outside of Scottsdale. You can hike, bike, picnic or camp. The views of the mountains, especially Four Peaks, are great. Beautiful Sonoran Desert!

Close to home but still a nice getaway. Nice, clean, well kept camping spots and hiking trails. Definitely a place to see.

There is a hike for all levels with a very good visitor's stop to help discover which one suits you. So close to town yet so far from the noise that comes with towns. Very peaceful

$30 per night for sites with hookups (water and electricity: 20,30,50 amp). Plus $8 reservation fee. Bathrooms with showers, plus dump station included.

There are no rental's in the park but there are two bike shops in Fountain Hills (about 4 miles from the park entrance) that rent bikes - McDowell Mountain Cycles and Fountain Hills Bikes. The trails are well marked and a... More
