I could not believe how beautiful the drive was. I stopped a number of time to take photo's. At the bottom of the Canyon at the bridge to cross the Salt river, there are toilet facilities. Great drive

Some lady wrote a story about being scared on this drive, I'm guessing she never had to work for a living and stayed mostly indoors her whole life. But in fact, it is perfectly safe, very beautiful, and I was pulling over at every chance...More

I can understand why people say that this road has nice views, but I wouldn't know or care due to the EXTREME danger of being a passenger with an excellent driver and still horrified at all the severe curves and narrowness. Only a one lane...More

Driving through the Salt River Canyon on Arizona State Highway 77 between Globe and Show Low blew my mind, to use a Sixties expression. The road itself is curvy and you have to be careful but there are plenty of spots to turn off for...More

Drove through the canyon while heading to Globe. Stopped off and took pictures. Make sure your breaks are new because of the steep downgrades.

This canyon is a short drive from Queen Creek. The canyon is beautiful! Make sure to descend the steps to the river. The climb up is rough if you are not in shape, however, my 91-year-old mother made it!

We came up from Tucson that day. It was raining and generally miserable, drove it south to north, ended in Sho Low. In spite of the weather, you could tell immediately, it was something special. As long as you've got... More
