Arriving in Globe for an overnight stay on the way to Phoenix, we looked for an area to take a walk. We found this park a good place to hike along the gravel paths with some uphill stretches. Old mining equipment, along with informational signs,...More

After reading the reviews, we had higher expectations of the park. There was old mining equipment scattered across a large area that you walk along. The hikes were basically routes up the hill that led to dead-ends without a "destination" at the end of the...More

This is a great park that has a lot of historical information and great trails. This was a great way to stretch our legs after a long drive, and we learned a lot about mining and Globe. Great playground for kids, lots of stationary displays.

We only had an hour to walk thru this park, so an extended hike wasn't in the cards. We took the flat, interactive path thru the park in an effort to see what copper mining was like in the past. While there were some boards...More

Very interesting history and facts about the mining industry. Only problem we had was overshooting it once, and then just barely seeing the sign. The sign needs to be bigger so travelers won't miss this excellent attraction.

As new residents to Globe, my husband and I were pleasantly surprised when we visited this park because it has much to offer to the local community and visitors. For new residents and visitors passing through the park has great signage describing the Old Dominion...More

I think we got in near to 3 miles walking around this fun park. There is lots of old mining equipment and a description for each and maps for how the mine used to be. Very cool and informative. Dog and kid friendly.
