This is a comfortable 9km hike that is incredibly beautiful. We recommend you take half a day to hike at a comfortable speed, stop, photograph and enjoy the beautiful views over the bay towards Plettenberg bay. View the seal colony from above and look for breaching whales out to sea. At the point you can spend some time watching the... More

Robberg was a nice suprise on our stay in Plettenberg. It is not so close to down town, but you should visit. If you like hike! uhhh you will love it. I didn't take the large hike route, but I guess you will expend 3 hours to go around the reserve. Do not forget the sunscreen, sunglass, water and battery... More

Enjoyed the most wonderful walk on Robberg to the Island and back. Not great weather to start with which meant I was the first to walk across the beach to the Island that day and then had the whole Island to myself. Not sure how often that happens. Incredible views from all angles. Paths well maintained and a good walk... More

The nature reserve covers the entire Robberg Peninsula which is situated 5 kms from Plettenberg Bay. There is an entrance fee of R25 for the day, but if you wanted to stay over night there is a cabin situated at the peninsula point, but bring your own sleeping bags and food.

Take alot of water with on the longer hike. Saw hump back whales in theRoberg bay, seals swimming off the point and dorsal fins that belong to sharks.

If you are in the area it is well worth visiting Robberg Nature Reserve. The scenery is very good, lots of birds around with a chance to see seals and possibly sharks too. We were lucky that the spring seemed late this year so many of the plants were still in flower, fantastic. There are three walks to have a... More

Too many beautiful moments!! Keep walking and you will be rewarded with breath taking sights and sounds! I had a walking guide and would highly recommend one as some areas are very treacherous. I carefully followed in my guides footsteps . Be sure to bring water and proper footwear. You will need to keep your hands free to support you... More

MAGNIFICENT Views! Wonderful from all perspectives, worthy of a photo. A refreshing swim on the beach halfway through the walk, the kids swam for hours.

After reading reviews and keeping an open mind, we embarked on a walk through this lovely area. We sensibly took water with us (bottle available at the car park information centre at R10.00) but were definitely not prepared for the challenges of the uneven, steep paths with often vertiginous drops to the sea. Worth doing if you are confident in... More

Absolutely gorgeous! One of the most beautiful nature reserve in SA. We hiked the long trail and loved every second of it. It's must- Don't miss it!
