Such an interesting museum, and all exhibits so clearly labeled, so that we could see the history. A beautiful building

Visited the Armour Museum this last Saturday - what a disappointment that the museum was closed. We were allowed into the grounds to walk around the museum and see the Armoured vehicles - but staff could not tell me when the museum would be open. Three families were there on Saturday afternoon while we were there, and all disappointed that... More

Our first stop in Bloemfontein was the Armour Museum. The grounds are lovely and we enjoyed walking around and looking at all the different military vehicles and the parade grounds. Our young boys loved it!! It is a wonderful collection and quite interesting. The actual museum was closed, but there was really enough other things to see.

The museum was closed when it should have been open.... It was interesting to walk around and look at the tanks and artillery though.

Numerous Examples of Tanks and other Armoured Vehicles used in South Africa past 130 Years. No guide or brochure but each display item has Plaque with detail. High interest to men... More

It's such a pity to see a Museum in this condition. All the tanks & planes look rundown. The museum it self is sparse

One of the world’s truly great attractions that it can be difficult to get to see. The collection of Armoured vehicles is unique, in particular the variants developed during South Africa’s isolation. You also get to see some very special and current world leading developments in armour and weapons. Just make certain you have made contact and that the museum... More

A well laid out museum showing the Armour Division in South African and international history. Impressive displays of actual armoured vehicles, some from 2nd world war, and in working condition!

We tried to visit the museum on Saturday, 6th April and were told that the museum is not open over the week-ends? We were very disappointed!
