This site is riddled with symbols for the future of South Africa that has quite a way to go and horrible and inconceivable memories of the past of the Apartheid state out of control and run amok. First you see the deplorable conditions and treatment...More

It was good to be able to share in some of South Africa's history through the eyes of its people, and to enter into the space/court where its human right abuses are heard to date.

The prison is a stark reminder of the excesses suffered by non white people during the apartheid era. Following on, the inspirational aims of the Constitution and the Court' that will ensure these are upheld complete the visit on an optimistic note.

We had a very interesting tour of constitution hill during our Red Bus trip. Definitely worth making the time. A real eye opener to the conditions suffered by many back in the darker days of South African history.

Keep up the good work to educate people of human rights violations of the past history of SA. I did not know of the gruesome treatment black had to endure in those times.

Is it safe to walk in the Hillbrow area during the day? I do enjoy exploring a city on foot rather than going on tours. Can I do it in Johannesburgh city center safely?
