Clean, fast, convenient on time. I have used many high-speed commuter trains in Europe and Japan and this service matches any of them.

Yes the Gautrain has provided a few people with a way to get from point A to point B. The charges for anywhere other than the airport are reasonable - because they extort those going on OR Thambo Intl. The train interior is clean, spacious...More

We recently used the Gautrain to travel to OR Tambo International. Tickets are a bit pricey but the convenience of using the Gautrain cannot be compared to be taking a car there. Clean, neat and safe.

Gautrain is by far the most safest and reliable mode of transport from the airport to Sandton. It is clean and always on time. With the Gautrain you can be in Sandton in 14 minutes avoiding all the traffic. I only use Gautrain when travelling...More

Leaving at 5:30 in the morning from Rhodesfield station to arrive at 6:00 at Rosebank. Start my marking day relaxed and focused. After a long day of marking, I get on the 17:20 train and arrive safely before 18:00 back at Rhodesfield.

Gautrain Card bought from ticket booth and off you go. You can also buy the ticket from the Automatic Vending Machines , but being a first time traveller on the Gautrain , I opted for the ticket booth

I use the Gautrain and the Gautrain Bus Service on a daily basis to commute to work. The service is extremely reliable and very secure.

For two people or more it is more cost effective to take an Uber than the Gautrain to the airport. Neat, efficient, safe and on time. The website has all the details and the people at the station are super helpful.

There is nothing better sitting on the Gtrain wizzing down the highway to Pretoria arriving at your destination much quicker than in a car.

Hi Brendan Since you will only be in Johannesburg for less than a week, your only option is buying a normal card/ticket that allows you to use the train and buses whenever you want to. The card itself costs a non-refundable... More

Yes, you can purchase the ticket at the station. Check the gautrain website for the fares. From Rosebank to Hatfield Station it costs R55. With the exchange R10.60 to AUD1.00, we are talking AUD5.18.

I was a business traveler who only used the train for a round trip between Jburg and Pretoria. I had to buy a gold card, and yes everything is charged in one transaction. I cannot recall if I paid with cash or credit card... More
