This gem in the heart of Johannesburg's Melville suburb is a great place to get away from the City rush and madness. A nice walk will clear the mind !

Such a beautiful place for walking and mountain biking but be careful it is notorious for hi jackings. Only use this facility in large groups. Pity its not as safe as it needs to be because it offers spectacular views of Johannesburg.

We attended one of their early Sunday morning walks. The pace was brisk but manageable and the views were worth it.

I suggest you take a tour with a local guide in order for him/her to explain the finer details to you. Apart from the archaeological perspective, it is also a very interesting area botanically.
