I have visited this outstanding museum on more than one occasion and it has a wide enough range of military, both army and airforce, memorabilia to satisfy all tastes and all ages. Well presented and visitor friendly allowing you to wander at will and to my knowledge not overcrowded. Tanks, airplanes, uniforms, varied weapons etc. Easy access and own parking -... More

Definitely money well spent! Our family of 5 enjoyed seeing the planes, canons, tanks and uniforms...my 12 year old son loved every moment. It was great to see the recent military campaigns in which our Dads and Uncles participated...much respect to those who served. Spent a good 3 hours wandering through the exhibits. Great meal at the cafe to finish... More

There are guns. There are Military ground and air vehicles. There is history to be learned. This will keep you busy for the better part of a day. Also right next to the Joburg Zoo and the Lake which is a perfect spot for a picnic! Accessible via the City Sightseeing Joburg Red Tour bus.

Venue has hall for hire. Makes a good setting for kids birthday parties.Or you could go as day visitor. Lots of old restored army tanks and some aeroplanes on display. Nice if you appreciate and or interested in such machinery and war history. Overall visit quite a pleasant experience especially for the kids.
