The renovations taking place are in full swing. The flea market has been demolished and there is a lot of activity at the moment. Unless one wants to visit a particular store, such as Pick and Pay or any of the other regular places, (i.e nail bars) I would suggest you think twice before taking a trip for the traditional... Thought we would go for a day out on a Sunday,it was like a ghost town of what it used to be...I hope the renovations bring back the people.there used to be so much vibe, now it's just a pick pay supermarket.

We enjoyed our experience here. I had the seared salmon and a prawn skewer and mu husband had the sushi. Everything tasted wonderful. The service was great, the place was clean. We had no issues and enjoyed every second of our time. They have an amazing selection of shooters and cocktails to choose from.

First time we came here after about 7 years. Disappointing. . They renovating but does not look as if there will be anything interesting. To many commercial shops like Mr Price, PnP.. Virginia active.. expected more independent shops. Guess it's gonna be another 7 years before this place sees us again

Wow a shopping centre with a lake! Great place to spend a few hours, shopping, wandering around the markets or having a beer and a bite to eat, you can't go wrong here.

Unfortunately more shops are gone and the flea market is closed during renovations. However, on the Pick-n-Pay side the shops are all operational as well as on the Gym side with the restaurants. I'm waiting in anticipation to see a beautiful new Brightwater Commons that will attract many people to the area. There is plenty of parking. The Gautrain bus... More

A good place to relax. Shop at the flea market, good food options. Lots of activities including, skating, lazer tag and outdoor activities for the little ones. Lots of niche stores.

Sadly the lack of visitors have caused many shops to close down and even the decades long flea-market will be closing in 2016. Otherwise the green laws and shrubbery are pretty and at night there are still several good restaurants and a nice musical water fountains.

Comparing the Brightwater Commons from what it used to be to the dump it is now saddens me. Total mismanagement of a hidden gem (or used to be). So much potential but I wouldn't be caught dead there now. Sewerage smells hang in the air, terrible shops, no entertainment or festivals....What a waste !!

It is always relaxing to walk around Brightwater and observing people on the open area, the entertainment, merry-go-round, skate park and music fountain. There are some restaurants and it is a popular place for children's birthday parties. There is a gym, some shops and a flea market.
