Fantastic exercise. Haha +- 580 stairs. But well worth it! It is very clean. And alot of history. The view is amazing. It would be AWESOME to be able to visit at night and see the city lights. Definitely worth it.

Really enjoyed my visit here. The building itself is very impressive inside and out. A great insight into South African history. Note the view from the very top of the dome inside can be vertigo inducing!

It would be best to contact the Voortrekker Monument and get information from them about a tour in French. They could probably make arrangements for such a tour.

There are substantial grounds around the monument but I don't know if pets are allowed in the structure itself. Check the website on that issue.
