On our way Seligman, we had decided to stop off in Kingman to explore the town a bit more. We noticed that they had a railroad museum. The place is located near the Powerhouse Museum. The Museum itself is nice and offers locomotives history and...More

As a railroad guy I found this place pretty disappointing. There's next to nothing on the history of rail in the area. It is very cheap to visit though, that said I would recommend you don't bother stopping to check it out.

Well laid out place with lots of history of the railroad and its development of the area. Nice place for a family to attend and learn about the west and how railroads played a part in the development of the west.

Went to the museum while in the area, and it was full of memorabilia from the past and the old trains. Well worth the trip.

Real railroad memorabilia is light on but they have 3 model railroads in HO, N & O scales which are impressive. Worth a look if you like model railways. It is a good spot from which to watch real trains pass, mostly freight.

The staff is very passionate about trains and history. Open at 10am on a Sunday and so glad we stopped to meet them. Model trains are a dying art - keep up the great work!

Whoever likes model trains, go! They have three model train tracks which are really awesome. Check it out, just $2 entry.

Took the kids there and they were happy for a short time, the train is a bit neglected and closed up too much

This was a very inexpensive stop, only a few bucks if I recall. They have a nice collection of railroad memorabilia and a couple of electric trains set up, ready to turn them on and allow you the joy and fascination of watching them go...More
