There are 15 camp sites, which can accommodate 7 people (2 small families in our case). They have a braai area and a tap and electricity (which is intermittent but mostly on). Sites 1-5 are on the water, which is nice, but exposed to the wind if a cold front approaches. The 6-7 are further from the water, with more... More

Fantastic experience. Ezemvelo camp sites clean and tidy, rubbish collected regularly, great ablutions. Fishing was fantastic - highlights were Rock Salmon (11 lb), Spotted Grunter (7lb). Swimming (wallowing) is also amazing, water is pristine. Highly recommend John (Smiley) as a ghillie - we have used him for 3 years in a row and is the most pleasant, hard working person... More

Beautiful nature reserve and camping experience. The swimming in the lake is warm and safe and the scenery is stunning. Just lock your tent as the gillies have sticky fingers. We caught one who stole money from our wallet, at the time he dropped his mobile so we caught him and asked for the money to be returned otherwise we... More

We spent the day on a boat trip cruising the three lakes. We visited fish kraals and one of the fisherman even allowed us in his kraal to try to spear a fish. Wonderful to see the old traditional way of fishing for hundreds of years being used. We then snorkeled along the mangroves where we saw large schools of... More

My granddaughter and I enjoyed a wonderful boat tour of the lakes and a beautiful beach - fishermen spearing fish in their fish weirs, flamingos, kingfishers, hippos...even bought fish which was cooked into a delicious dish at our lodge.

This is a incredible place in nature and vehicle access is limited. Visit the traditional fish traps and book for a canoe safari. The mouth makes for excellent snorkeling. We saw devil fish and the scares pineapple fish. Make sure you know when the tides come in. This is probably the best island style resort in SA!

Early mornings at sunrise and late afternoons with sunset the best time to be on one of the three lakes....too lovely to explain.....the channel system is a special way to start a day!... More

We stayed in the 6 bed lodge (Ugudu) for 10 days and had a wonderfully relaxing holiday - fishing and visiting the various beaches in the area. The resort is situated on a lake system so it is the ideal location to bring a boat and while away the days fishing, snorkelling and exploring the channels that link the 4... More

We spent one night camping in Kosi Bay. It cost 100 per person per night. The campsites were very nice, each block came with a tap, and a braai area. The ablutions were extremely well kept and there were power points inside. There was hot and cold water. The camp was located on a lake and you could walk right... More
