The waterfall is not accessible anymore/right now due to a land dispute with a land owner. The last km are now blocked by a gate and with "no entry" sign. We still enjoyed the trail and the raft over the river was fun for the kids.

It was our third visit to Ebb and Flow and it was enjoyable as usual, even though part of our stay included a long weekend. (which we'd not experienced before.) As retirees, having a camp site full of energetic children buzzing around on all their toys, was rather daunting. However, the camp was peaceful at night and typically South African... More

The Wilderness National Park is a hidden treasure. They have the most beautiful hiking trails and in such fantastic condition with wooden walk ways, wire gauze over the inclines, stair cases and the most stunning waterfall and rock pools. All an adventure to hiking uphill for the most magnificent views and then downhill and crossing the river on stones. Swimming... More

Did this walk when staying for a few days in Wilderness. Our hotel recommended it to us and it was really worth it. You cross a river using a hand-pulled rope ferry. Anf there a really great wooden walkway rising above the river. Then you get to the waterfall, which is lovely. People were swimming in the pool below the... More

Even if you are not into hiking, this is a magnificent walk in the forest. The trail is well maintained shady and very pretty - with plenty of interest for bird lovers.

We paid 240 Rand entance fee for two at the main gate. Only afterwards we were told that the waterfall is now private land and that we cannot go there anymore. We decided to walk the part of the the path which is still open. Nothing special and very expensive for what you get compared to other parks.

We have visited the National Park about five times now, using it as an accommodation base when visiting George. We enjoy walking the various trails, particularly the Half Collared Kingfisher trail. We stay in the family cottages and find them clean, safe and well equipped. The staff are always very helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them.

Family decided to walk the 3.6km to the waterfall for a swim. A few hundred meters in the path splits. The "shortcut" or Bosduif trail is not a shortcut. It is a winding trek up a mountainside and far longer than the other footpath. I nearly died. But I'm cuddly so... Great views, beautiful scenery. A fairy forest. Waterfall is... More

Hiked the half collared kingfisher trail with two kids (14 and 11) and mom in her 70s. It was hot so we only walked about 45 minutes in and 45 out so did not get to the waterfall. Did pull ourselves over the pontoon boat crossing and that was fun. A nice trip with just enough difficulty to make it... More
