We had such a wonderful time with Sunset Charters. We booked the 90min sunset tour to Copper Canyon on a Friday evening. Janine was so helpful in the booking process when I called a week before. She was also our narrator on the tour. The history of the lake is just amazing and she did a great job. She and the captain made it a fun experience. She even noticed I was struggling with the heat and gave me a chilled rag to help me cool down. The views of the lake, the canyon, and then the city when the lights went down we're just beautiful. Would highly
recommend to anyone coming to visit Lake Havasu. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

The Copper Canyon Tour on the "Serenity Now" vessel was worth every penny for our group of five from Montana. Kenny, both Captain and Tour Guide, was second to none for his knowledge of the area and its history, and he gave us a memorable excursion on beautiful Lake Havasu and around Copper Canyon. We would recommend Kenny and his expertise to anyone wanting a special experience.

We really enjoyed our trip up Topock Gorge. The day was cool and a bit breezy with white caps on the water. But the boat (Serenity) rode extremely smoothly though the waves. And the heavy blankets provided kept us warm and toasty. The open boat and theater seating gave everyone great views. The seating was comfortable for the extended ride. And there was plenty of space around the seat for personal gear. Our captain (Todd) did an excellent job. He provided interesting information and prepared a great lunch including fresh fruit and cookies. Bad weather during the week prevented us from going when we had hoped to go, but the tour group worked to add an extra tour to accommodate our needs. If you are considering a tour of Topock Gorge I strongly recommend Sunset Charter & Tours.

If you don’t have your own boat, towing behind your Jeep that you are towing behind your motor home, you need to find a way to get out on the lake at Lake Havasu. It is a huge and beautiful lake in the desert in two states with lots to see. One of the quickest ways to get into the culture is to book a Copper Canyon 1 hour cruise with Sunset Charter by phone or at their decorative kiosk under London Bridge. They are fastidious in their cleaning and spacing for COVID and provide a great history of the bridge and the area. Our hostess, Jeanene, told her stories like they were the first time, with excitement and personal investment, making it very enjoyable. Not only that, when she took a breather, they played well-known 60’s tunes that were perfect for the environment and the audience. We were there on an incredible December day that was a bit cooler on the lake so they provide blankets if needed as well as unlimited bottled water. Looking forward to our next adventure with them.

First off, this was an amazing tour!! Janine and Todd were awesome! But the best part was that they both came in on their day off to give our group of 6 an amazing tour! We had made reservations over a month earlier with Rubba Duck for a tour and the owner cancelled us with less than 24 hours notice! And probably only because I sent him a confirmation message the day before. I called this company and spoke with Janine who told me they had nothing available at this late notice but since we were driving from Phoenix and already had hotel reservations and 4 people were already almost there, she would see if a captain would come in on his day off to do a private charter. He did and Janine was our narrator and the overall cost was even a little less than what we would have paid with the other company! Thank you so much Janine! We are still talking about how much we all enjoyed it!!

We booked on the sunset 90 minute tour, which included many lighthouses and the Copper Canyon. There were 10 people including us so they are doing a great job a social distancing. Captain Kenny was our guide and did a fantastic job!! The sky was perfectly clear with a few clouds which made the sunset even more dramatic. On the way back in saw the beautiful Christmas lights of the English Village as well as the London Bridge Resort. Thanks Kenny for a great boat experience!

It was our second time taking the Sunset Copper Canyon tour. This time we brought along another couple who was visiting the area. Captain Tim did a great job cleaning and prepping the boat and he did an awesome job navigating our craft. We were spaced out and observed a good safety protocol. Janene was a fabulous tour guide, narrating and serving the guests - even taking pictures of each of us.
The history was interesting, the scenery on Lake Havasu is gorgeous and they timed the trip to get beautiful sunset pics and see the lights of London Bridge as we completed the tour. Definitely worth the little extra cost to do the sunset tour rather than the day trip.
Caution: Be sure to check the weather for windy conditions before making your reservations. A jacket (layering) may be necessary depending on the time of year.

The three-hour Sunset cruise we took was outstanding. The custom boat was comfortable, uncrowded, and the ride was smooth as it traversed Lake Havasu. The Captain clearly thought out everything, his accompanying music was appropriate to each part of the trip from day to sunset to nighttime. His narration added to the quality of the experience, especially the tale of the Sleeping Indian as we watched the sunset behind the rock formation. His taking pictures with each couple's cell phone of us with the Sunset as a backdrop was a surprise bonus. This was unlike any commercial boat trip I have taken in the past, well worth the cost and highly recommended.

The 3 hour 6 person evening Sunset cruise was fabulous. Highly recommend it. Captain Ken is very knowledgeable and does a fabulous job narrating about the history and highlights of the lake during the tour. The selected music played by Captain Ken while cruising was perfect and sets the mood. We spent approx. 2 hours cruising the evening sunset and the remaining 1 hour cruising in darkness looking up at the stars. The Arora lightshow on the walls in the canyon was amazing. The story of the sleeping Indian is a very spiritual one that you will take home with you. Thank you to Janine for working with us to get us on this tour. Don't wait until you get to the lake to make your reservation. This tour is the most popular on the lake and fills up fast. Best advise is to book early. This tour is well worth the cost.

I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the history of the Colorado River and Lake Havasu from our vivacious and knowledgable guide, Jeanine. At sunset she offered to take everyones picture with the glorious sunset in the background! Captain Tim did a perfect job driving the boat, too; we felt very safe and secure on the boat. They created a beautiful cruise for us, full of fun and adventure! The only thing that I would recommend would be to ask them to let the patrons know about the availability of blankets in cooler weather at the beginning of the tour instead when it is almost over.

Are you open over Thanksgiving weekend?

We can't believe they won't be, as they are a very industrious group. If you can get on the 6-person luxury boat that goes up the river with a very simple lunch provided, do it. It is the best tour on the river. ENJOY

Are there any tours that take you to the waterfalls besides the hiking trails?
Written December 11, 2017
Hi Bonnie,
We do not offer hiking on any of tours and excursions. As far as waterfalls, there are not waterfalls here on Lake Havasu. If you are inquiring about Havasu Falls, these falls are located near the Grand Canyon. There are several companies that offer hiking tours in that area. I would recommend searching Grand Canyon to review your options.
Thank you,
