Lowveld National Botanical Garden is a pleasant place to be because the contact with nature, the fresh air, the sound of the birds, the waterfalls and the sound of its waters, the beautiful and exotic plants, and all the virgin nature make this place a Paradise to enjoy a healthy walk.

Why wasn't this place busier? Well kept and beautiful. Butterflies like you can't believe. Sunbirds flitting around the trees. Really stunning waterfall and readily accessible from Nelspruit.

The layout and collection of trees in this botanical garden is excellent and should be a "must-see" for Nelspruit visitors. If you visit these gardens and Kirstenbosch, Cape Town you should see most of the flora in South Africa. Apart from the well-labeled trees there are other interesting art objects like giant insect sculptures to look out for.

Although hot, still stunning gardens. Do take lots of water.. lovely picnic areas. There is also a restaurant in the gardens, but much nicer to picnic there.

We always make time to visit the Botanical Gardens, The gardens is well looked after. Just a shame the coffee shop is always close on on our visit, but otherwise very enjoyable.

We had a bachelorette party for a good friend, what a beautiful setting. We had so much fun and did not feel crowded or pressured. We took in our own drinks and snacks and sat on the lawn on blankets, and just had a great time. We went for a long walk - the peace and tranquility of the gardens... More
