The Kgalagadi is one of the last reserves offering a real African bush/Kalahari experience. Since the accommodation is limited, so are the number of vehicles. The is plenty of game, many birds, raptors, predators. The Staff/guides/ranges are very professional, friendly and helpful. A place to unwind, enjoy nature and forget about civilisation/the city.

It was an unforgettable experience. We will go back tomorrow. Friendly staff at Twee rivieren gate. Nossop camp was great. We enjoyed the look out base at the water hole at night and saw the most magnificent lion one night and his roar was hair raising.

This is a vast park and we only explored a small part of the southern end, but the Kalahari is beautiful and peaceful, full of animals and a sense of the history of mankind. Visitors are well-advised to stay in their cars except at designated parking areas but it's easy to stop at any point and just watch the animals... More

If one is a wild life enthusiast, this would rate as a "must visit" park. For those with special interests e.g. Raptors, Lions, Cheetah, they would be in heaven. It is a pity that Sanparks have made it almost impossible for one to have access to the "bushcamps" and even if booking as soon as it opens, Tweeriveren and Mata... More

As the park was fully booked, we chose to stay in the luxurious Kgalagadi Lodge, 5 km from the park gate (see our review). When we booked in for the day visit to the park, we were confronted by the news that there was no petrol to be had at Twee Rivieren, as 'the petrol company was overhauling their facility'.... More

We passed through this park twice on our trip to and from !Xaus Lodge and saw an amazing amount of animals up close including 4 lions. We think this is a place to spend a long period of time rather than passing through it. The staff a the Twee Rivier entrance gate were particularly welcoming.

This park is a must for any nature lover. 4 x 4 is advisable, but not necessary for certain parts. At the moment dry bur nevertheless you see animals. most of the cats are around nossob, but it can change. worth a trip and the effort

(Southern) Krugerpark has lost its magic due to over-tourism. This place hasn't and offers spectacular wildlife encounters.Leave the camp and be amazed by the variety of living things you meet along the way. Enjoyed every minute of the 10080 we spent here!

Last year we visited the Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park and booked accommodation in the main camp and in two more remote camps. The nature and wildlife are impressing. The roads are ok, but you must be prepared for a lot of driving because the distances are significant. The facilities in the remote camps in terms of communication and food are... More
