Have someone who is an experienced DRIVER take this drive. It can be done by the average driver but you must have nerves as the elevations and windiness can be somewhat intimidating. The views are simply breathtaking and there is one imp articular part that...More

We drove through this on our way from Cape Town to Cape of Good Hope. Amazing drive with breathtaking views. Good picnic sites with restroom facilities too. So close to the city.

Drove south from Cape Town on way to Simonstown to see the penguins. Very scenic as road is carved into the hills rather than bring built on them. Loads of places for photo opportunities. Modest fee to pay as it is a toll road but...More

I admit to being a little nervous on this road due to the twists and turns along the mountainside but the view from the peak is out of this world. Magnificent

There are signs everywhere asking bikers to go in single file but they don't and this can make for a very slow ride as there are too many curves to pass the masses of bikers and runners. We probably encountered over 300 bikers and 50...More

After Hout Bay you can enjoy this scenic view with you car. The fee is 45Rand and you can stop at various points on the way. It is just breathtaking to drive there and see the steep coast from above. It is a MUST!

Coming into Hout Bay from Cape Point, our GPS took us via the Chapman’s Peak Drive. What an unexpected pleasure it was. The views are stunning! The curves exhilarating, this is a must do drive in Cape Town. The toll is R45, totally worth it!

You pay a toll to drive this route, but it's worth it. A windy narrow road, high up, with spectacular views of the sea, mountains, and towns. A fabulous drive and highly recommended.
