Passing through Graaf- Rienet you should stop and see the beautiful Dutch Reform church (Moeder Kerk). The contrasting brickwork is so beautiful. Even the brackets are pretty star shaped.

Like in most of the smaller towns in South Africa there is not much to explore in Beaufort West. The church is more than 100 years old and in good shape. It is on the main road, very close to the Christian Bernard Museum
Fantastic example of old churches found all over old South African towns. I love the architectural detail and the care taken to beautiful the building. Modern day cost concerns and rushed programmes allow little time for detail.
