This is an historic stop along most walking tours. There is little to see inside but if the walls could talk, the story is in the area around the outside of the building and things that have taken place there

Famous as the place where Nelson Mandela gave his first speech after being released from prison. If you view old video it appears he is very high above the crowd. However, the balcony is on the first floor. Probably good to visit by history buffs.

This is definitely one of the most impressive buildings in town. It's architectural design is simply remarkable. Some parts are currently undergoing some renovations.

The building is quite European style. The architecture is magnificent. The tower clock is very catchy and makes you stop for a photo.

Walked passed a few times when we were in Cape Town. It's a wonderful brick building and was where Nelson Mandela did is first speech after being released from Prison.

A bit of former glory feel about it. Over century old graceful and distinctive Edwardian architecture. Its limestone was imported from Bath in England. It is known for its mosaic floors, old stained glass, a classic pipe organ and marble staircase. The City Hall assured...More

Walked by the building a few times last week and very much enjoyed the architectural design. The building is very unique in comparison to the other ones surrounding it. Definitely enjoyed walking and looking at it.
