After a great meal at dias tavern we headed off to watch some theatre. Was a great atmosphere it was. Barmen are super friendly, there was so much space to move around, even at interval. Very cool theatre.

Small theatre centrally located with bar facilities and coffee/snacks.Nearby restaurants, including DIas which is a minute away.Seats approximately 270 in relative comfort but could do with more seating I the waiting area.Varied programme but,in general,Cape Town is a bit of a wasteland for drama lovers.

Love the fact that the integrity of the historic building was kept intact. The book fair is worth a visit especially if you want to have your book signed by the authors in attendance. Parking nearby makes it easy to access.

this little converted church serves as the venue for wonderful theatre. three different stages but the main one my favourite. some lighter entertainment as well but serious plays with brilliant acting performed there. I doubt if you can find anything better anywhere and the prices are for nothing compared to theatre around the globe. at the moment Clybourne park showing... More

Over the last couple of years, the Fugard has become the premier theatre destination in Cape Town. The quality of the shows and the experience is un-matched. For anyone visiting Cape Town and interested in taking in some theatre, this should be your first port of call.

Every time I visit this theatre I am amazed at the atmosphere and vibe. The shows are incredible, the sound excellent, the staff full of humor and they sell real bubbly MCC. The magic lies in the history and how the theatre presents itself. Lots of parking nearby.

Kanala is the story of District 6. How appropriate that the Fugard Theatre is in District 6!! The theatre is in an old church and the evidence is visible everywhere. So beautiful. The theatre is relatively small and has 3 levels.

A beautiful quaint theatre in the heart of Cape Town. A small intimate venue with lovely atmosphere. Lovely local snacks and drinks served.

Attended a couple of shows here. Small and cosy venue, yet not overcrowded. Sound, lighting, stage effects were excellent. The stage is small but you get mesmerized by the amazing talent so much so that you get carried away by the show and live in the moment! The amazing musicals I watched here were performed by outstanding true Cape Townian... More
