Next door to the University of Cape Town with free entrance and parking. Hopefully it will survive the wave of anti-Rhodes protests as it is so monumental, but I understand that it is a reminder of the colonist view of life.

Excellent vistas from the foot and top of the memorial. Brilliant photos of oneself on the steps. Behind the pillars is an excellent restaurant which serves the best scones and hot chocolate (made with real chocolates).

For as far as the eye can see. Pitched on the North-Eastern slopes of Devil's Peak, the views from this memorial stretches for as far as the eye can see. Informative on Rhodes' history in South Africa. Beautiful life-size sculptures of lions.

This is a great place to visit if youre into history and architecture. Enjoyed every moment, although quite windy, maybe cause I visited in September. This place isn't safe to walk anymore, take protection!

Rhodes is a controversial figure and this is his monument - the views are amazing with a different perspective to the regular ones. It's free to get to the monument and worth finding (limited signage until very near). There is a restaurant but we didn't use it. The statue has been damaged but in some ways that adds to the... What is not to love with such a view. Pity about the vandals to the Rhodes Statue but still a great spot to laze about or have a bite at the lovely restaurant

Drove with a friend to the Rhodes Memorial and had a great lunch at the tea house Restaurant. Had a walk in the forest with my friend and his Dogs. It's a nice place to spent time at daytime. It's terrible that the statue was broken from somebody.

Great View, great monument and you can get some brilliant photos from the top. Free to visit. The only reason why they only get 4/5 is down to the quality of the food. It wasn't the best but go for a coffee and cake. Ample free parking and there are toilets - essential! :)
