Lovely cruise

My husband, young nephew and I went on this excursion in December. What a great experience. Great crew, who made it all so much fun and even better that we were able to properly sail. Great views to be seen, with fantastic photo opportunities. Great fun, especially for my young nephew, when the sails were up

This was real sailing not just bobbing around in the ocean. Once out of the harbour, sails were out and with 1-2 metre waves we were sailing. Champagne supplied, great atmosphere, good party and excellent crew, this was sailing! Excellent views of Cape Town from the ocean and fantastic sunset, this was another experience not to be missed. Another bonus... More

Don't go with this company!! When buying the 240 Rand ticket for the champagne sunset cruise we asked the sales person whether there would be a non alcoholic option available. I am pregnant but still wanted to join our group on the trip. The guy assured us there would be. There was also a sign in the sales office saying... More

The three crew members were great company, even Captain 'Jolly' Roger. We left the Quay in lovely sunshine but within minutes the sea fog had come in, which meant no great sunset pictures, but the sparkling wine and views of Table Mountain were still a treat.

Had tried several times to go book the ship but always full. So went in morning to book for first sailing at 11. So pleased we went then as it was quieter. We were in Cape Town for three weeks and this was one of our favourite days. Saw lots of marine life including seals, penguins and Dolphins. Would highly... More

This was a great excursion. The only disappointment was that we had to motor rather than sail - but it was great fun and the views of CT were wonderful. Unusually, we saw a whale. The crew were great. Didn't particularly like being asked to tip at the end. However, would thoroughly recommend this trip.

The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, with a fully stocked bar whilst sailing. If you lucky, you may see whales, dolphins and seals

Having been on this excursion on our annual visits to Cape Town we were disappointed on this occasion to have the sail from The Waterfront ruined by 4 drunks. The Captain took no action to contain the situation and the male crew member appeared to be encouraging the young men (speaking Afrikaans) by plying them with drink. It became very... More

If you do one thing in Cape Town then enjoy a sunset cruise on the Spirit of Victoria. The crew are fantastic, friendly and just want you to to enjoy the voyage. It depends on the weather and we were lucky enough to experience sailing by the wind rather than motor and it was expectional. We enjoyed a couple of... More
