The 5 wine tasting was a little more than what we paid in nearby wineries but that was fine. The wine, when it came out, was pretty good. I was underwhelmed by what looked like a German beer house as the tasting room and the service was pretty slow. We sat for over 20 minutes without staff. When I went... More

Groot Constantia is one of the oldest and biggest vineyard in the Cape Town area. It is the perfect place to just walk around, taste some really nice wine or even just have lunch with a view at the Jonkerhuis restaurant! Don't forget to bring home a few bottle of their Shiraz! Small tip: if you do not ave a... More

We love visiting wineries and Groot Constantia does not disappoint. For hundreds of years, this winery has put out incredibly good wine. Even Napoleon wanted their wine! We did the wine and chocolate pairing. It was really well conceived.

I had a client who wished to photograph wine barrels in the cellar. This is a very busy time as they are harvesting - and did not have a cellar tour available - yet they bent over backwards to be friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble - even though we put them out. Groot Constantia offers beautiful photographic... More

This is a lovely setting for a wine tasting with beautiful buildings and grounds. You can pay R95 for a short tour, wine tasting and entry to the small museum. Wine tasting alone is R75. Although the tour is short and I didn't have much time or enthusiasm for the museum, the advantage of the higher price is that you... More

Went here on rave reviews from a local. Had to move inside from the patio area to get away from screaming kids climbing over tables, and attempting to wreck fencing sunshades, nothing worse than other people's unruly kids. The food was not special, and one dish of Yellowfin steak was uneaten. Won't be going back.

This time around we visited the Manor House interior. It was very interesting and a friendly staff member gave us a booklet to use whilst walking through the public area of the house. However it was disturbing that in the dining room area, three staff members were chatting away like it was their personal social club. One even went to... More

We had lunch here and they had a wonderful selection. The service was great. We toured the house but missed the wine tasting- reason to come back!
