Beautifull woodwork

The woodwork in this church is beautiful. The pulpit with its canopy and intricate woodwork is loose standing and has stairs for the preacher to enter.

The woodwork in this church is beautiful. The pulpit with its canopy and intricate woodwork is loose standing and has stairs for the preacher to enter.

Beautiful, different from the conventional. A real landmark of the city of George, central, within walking distance of several hotels, guesthouses and restaurants.

I have been to a couple of choirs events there and also went on a historical tour of the building. A beautiful old church full of history.

What a majestic and beautiful piece of architecture against the backdrop of mountains or sky. A little bit of history: The cornerstone of this magnificent Mother Church was laid in 1832. The churches history spans back to 1832 when the foundation was first laid, due to money problems the church was only inaugurated in 1842. Amazing experience visiting this wonderful historic building. The beautiful oak tree outside is also a tourist attraction! Absolutely breath-taking!

The stunning white Dutch Reformed Mother Church. Beautiful on the inside and the outside. Definitely a must see when visiting George in The Garden Route

A most interesting interior, this building is photogenic both inside and outside. The wood used is all local and the design is wonderful.

This church has a special organ inside but is renowed for its yellow wood ceiling. This gives the church a unique atmosphere. Since George is important for its wood this is the place to have a celining like that.
