This is the most central area of Hermanus coastline and is close to small museums, market, restaurants and shops. It is a good viewpoint for whale watching but is busier than other parts of the cliffs in the twon

This beach is sandy and beautiful. The walkway all along this area is very attractive and clean. The surrounding shops and restaurants are well worth a visit.

Take a stroll along this magnificent paved walk that follows the coastling. It is the best place to view the whales in season or just to take in the fresh sea air and awesome views. There are also many good restaurants to visit along here.

This is a lovely spot to sit and take in the beautiful scenery. It's in the heart of the Hermanus downtown. Yet, it's so very peaceful to relax and reflect. You might even spot a whale.

This beach is near the town centre so, in our view, not as nice as the parts reached by the cliff path off to the east of town. However, it is a better location to see whales, which we finally did on our last day...More

We visited this beach and the cozy restaurant, Dutchies, several times during our stay at Hermanus Beach Front Lodge. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area or driving past.

It's a really nice location to see and the history makes a worthwhile visit, but we spent three hours there which a lot more time than we needed to see everything. Coolest part was the, what they call "rock rats" crawling around.
