Brenton-on-Sea is great for walking and sunbathing and is popular with paragliders. A big rock formation, castle Rock, is a favourite fishing spot for locals. Swimming is dangerous because of rip currents.

Bit out of the way so left it till late in the afternoon to visit. Wish we had gone much earlier as it is a gem. Glorious, secluded beach with a small village that provides all that you would need without destroying the charm of the location.

This is an amazing beach, what would normally be called a "pocket beach" except that it's actually quite long. It's well down from the road - though the path down is easy to follow and has stairs. From the pictures taken above the beach you could get the impression that the water is right there - not 100-vertical-feet below you.... More

This area is a short drive from Knysna and well worth the trip. The beach is beautiful, it's clean and easy to walk on. Nice cafe overlooking the beach we watched a large pod of dolphins swim by while having a coffee.

Leading to this small beach resort is a short drive from Knysna with wonderful views. It's a beautiful beach. Plenty of parking, lots of seats on the top to look at the views. A long walk down to the beach with steps but manageable with handrails. The beach is long, plenty of sand to walk along, even in February the... More

Unspoilt little place outside Knysna. Lovely drive with fabulous views over the lagoon. Quite a steep walk down to a beautiful beach but well worth it . Nice place for a picnic

Plenty of parking, a steep walk down on a good pathway to the beach. Definatly worth going to. Beautiful sand with interesting rocks and pools. The deli at the top of the path is worth visiting as there are no refreshments on the beach.
