One of the best places to go with friends or family. I used to go do the Jubilee creek hike with my father quite often and one day we stumbled upon the Circle in the Forest hike. Not too extensive and loads of fun!! One of my fondest memories.

Lots of different hikes to do for a quick hike and if you want to take a whole day. We did the jubilee creek hike of 3.6 km linear. It was not extremely challenging and can done quickly. It was nice to zigzag through the river and a reward to swim in the creek! We are coming back for the... More

We did not have much time so we did the 3.6 km linear hike to the jubilee creek and it was definitely worth it! It can be done quickly and it is a nice reward to swim in the creek! We are coming back for sure, the nature is beautiful and it is well maintained.

Because we didn't have a lot of time, we took the shortest circular route. Very doable in the time recommended, that's why we could spend some time at the natural pool. Cold but beautiful.

My soul was so enriched by both the book and now the place it happend. The nature is untouched. It feels like you step out of the modern world right in to the past.

We did the 3km walk, which was an easy to moderate trail and the whole family joined in. There is also a 9km walk for the brave and a 18.9km cycling trail. The walk is mostly in the shade, and the 3km walk takes about 90minutes if you walk at a slow pace and take time to read the information... More

The trail starts out at the memorial of the famous South African author Daleen Matee situated near the Krisjan-se-nek picnic site. It is an easy hike with well marked and maintained paths. The path weaves through giant yellowwood, ferns, rock pools, a couple of waterfalls. Most trees are covered in brightly coloured fungus. The forest has tons of bird life... More

Really expected more of this hike... the 9km route is literally a circle in the forest and the scenery does not change much at all for the full 3 or so hours. It was a very well marked out hike, but I think the markers every kilometer (and for the last 3km every 500meters) telling you how far you've walked... More

Choose between a shorter (about 3km) or longer (9km) circular route. See magnificant yellowwood trees, huge ferns and lots of fungus. Cross little streams and pools and hear abundant birds. Also beautifull species of Dragonflies
