Karusa is a wine yard and a microbrewery. Its located a bit off the road but its a pleasant seating to taste their wine and beer.

We both had the Ploughmans lunch which was very nice under the willow tree. We manage to finish a botyle of the Aloe Ridge chardonnay which was fruit yet still dry. Welll worth a stop.

Perhaps it's just how nature turns, but the day we left Oudtshoorn we went to Karuza early to see if they have something for breakfast and then do a tasting after that. It turned out to be one of the best breakfast experiences we've ever had. Amazing cold plate with meats &a cheese and with warm bread. My partner had... More

We stopped here after the Cango Caves for lunch and wine tasting. No idea what to expect but what a welcoming sight on a hot day - tables with shade set on a green lawn running down to a small reservoir. We chose a light lunch - chicken salad and ploughmans - the quality was the best on our trip... More

Heard about this place from family and made a point of visiting. We were not disappointed. We enjoyed the wines and had the pizza to eat, all were good. The service was good and prompt as well. There is no rush here and you can enjoy the lovely shady seating on the green lawns overlooking a small dam. I would... More

We have been to over 30 of SA's craft breweries and 200 wine estates and this is honestly the worst of both. Come for the scenery, definitely not the drinks or the service.

Dear Jared How unfortunate that you had such a bad experience at our great establishment - then airing an opinion publicly but not having the decency of complaining when you were here. I think you might have had a bad day- looking at your previous reviews of other establishments it seems your a very hard to please. Please have a... More

We stumbled across Karusa after a visit to the Cango caves. Lunch consisted of wine tasting (5 glasses presented with tasting notes) and a cheese platter for two (great quality). Others were going for the pizza ( some local knowledge I think 😉) The staff were very engaging but if you simply want to kick back and enjoy some quite... More

We visited the wine estate for lunch and tasting today. We were not sure what to expect. I can definitely say that our expectations were by far exceeded. The location os beautiful, the vineyards to the right...mountains around us..a pond in front with a massive lawn...great for couples with kids...the tastings were lovely...it came with information sheets that were great....our...
