Though damaged through shortsighted tourism schemes in the 1960s, these caves are still worth a visit for their eerie dark tunnels and stunning limestone formations.

A truly incredible attraction. A definite must-see. It will take your breath away. 1 million year old stalactites and stalagmites forming amazing shapes through cave after cave. Very knowledgeable tour guides make the attraction that much more appreciated and valued. I would go back again and again.

Despite being a bit claustrophobic I really enjoyed this. The first 4 chambers caused no problems and were beautiful. I would not have done the adventure tour which went much deeper and involved squeezing through narrow gaps. The guide was a good laugh and told good stories. Highly recommended.

The Cango Caves is a must visit and our kids was mesmerized when entering the vast chambers with the rock formations. The stalactites, stalagmites and others was formed over thousands of years of water dripping and some had the most amazing shapes. It was an easy walk/tour with an excellent guide who knew his job and was very helpful. Even... More

Informative visit let by Eric the guide who gave a lovely rendition of the SA National Anthem in Cave 1. Not wheel chair accessible and differing levels of access into the far reaches of the cave system depending on how brave and nimble you are!

We went on the adventure tour and despite being a little claustrophobic at times I managed to go through all but the final tight squeeze. Three of us in the group (all parents with kids) decided to skip the last part & were able to meet up with the group & our kids on the return back. Be prepared to... More

Definitely worth it. I'm 6'4'' and still did it through those little openings. Go!!! The most beautiful rock formations you'll ever see, probably!

We visited the Cango caves during December 2016, with a load /team of my girls... it was an amazing experience.. Kids learnt a lot from the tour, and since we came from a heritage tour, i do a quiz with my girls to tell what they learned from cango caves, and there's a PRIZE!! From the chamber we've spotted the... More

The cango caves gave me an astonishing insight of the beauty of our inner world, which is unique. I did the Heritage Tour that i can highly recommend. Unfortunately one has to go inside together with a really big group of approximately 50-60 people. Sometimes this disturbs the experience of this beautiful place.
